What treatments are offered at McDowell Dental Group?
At our practice, we are pleased to offer two common types of injectables, including Botox injections and dermal fillers.
- Botox – Botox is a common brand of neuromodulators that is used for the treatment of dynamic wrinkles caused by muscle tension of the face. This injectable is formulated from botulinum toxin type A, which is completely safe to inject into specific areas of the face to soften fine lines and wrinkles. The results from Botox can last several months before patients need reinjection. In fact, most patients who visit our practice every six months for cleanings and evaluations will benefit from having their Botox treatments done during the same appointment. This makes it easier than ever for patients to maintain their youthful appearance!
- Dermal fillers – another special cosmetic injectable used in our practice is that of dermal fillers. The two brands of fillers used in our practice include Juvéderm and Restylane. Both of these are made from hyaluronic acid, or HA, that adds volume when injected directly into wrinkles and folds. Additionally, Restylane works with other added benefits, such as the stimulation of the skin’s natural collagen production. These injectables can be used along with Botox for amazing results!
